Blink and you'll miss it, but in this beautifully grimy little nook on 39th Street, Mitchell and main man Khan keep the motorhead light burning proud. Mitchell's the real deal - smart, affable and fast - and once you roll your ride into the entrance of his shop you'll never go anywhere else for automotive service. High-end Krautmobile? He's got you covered. Park Slope street beater? Bring it on. He'll tell you what you need and why, how much it'll cost and how long it'll take, and that's that. And if you want to hang around, he'll reveal the mysteries of the timing belt and tell you how to keep that 'check engine' light from ever coming on. He answers the phone himself. He knows your car better than you do. He bleeds 5W-30. And he's a truly nice guy.
