Review content:
This restaurant was recommended to me by the co-owner when I met him at his other restaurant, Pietros Trattoria. As I ordered my meal at Pietros, he noticed my Boston accent and introduced himself. Very friendly fellow. I asked about ordering a drink and he said they don't have a liquor license, but his other restaurant does-Roma Restaurant. I told him I would try it out the next evening. The next night I went to Romas and I am glad I did. Menu selection was incredibly diverse and not at all ordinary. Appetizers were impressive. There were so many tasty-sounding specials that night I could not remember them all. I ordered a bowl pasta fagiola, chicken fancase with spaghetti (a special that night with a slice of eggplant, ham and mozzarella topped with tomato), a dirty martini, a 10-yr old port, and slice of pecan pie....what a friggin' meal. Delicious. The place is situated right in the middle of a residential neighborhood; how they got a restaurant to locate among residential homes is probably a good story. If ever I go back to Jersey, I'll go here for dinner.
