My boyfriend and I walked into the Snap Fitness location in Lansing on Waverly. As a loyal member for over a year, this was my first encounter feeling completely uncomfortable, unwanted, and disrespected by the owner/manager of a gym. About 20 mins into our workout he approaches my boyfriend and asks if he is a member, and my boyfriend replies by stating that he's with me as a guest. He then further questions him in an accusatory manner asking why we are here. At this point, I had no clue he had already talked to my boyfriend, and comes over to me and states, ""You guys are never allowed back in this gym.""
To make matters worse we were the only minorities in the gym, and he only came up to us. He didn't listen to anything we said, made false accusations as to why we were there, and did not believe we were members of Snap Fitness. It seemed he thought we were going to destroy or ruin his ""precious gym."" Not a good place to go if your uncomfortable with a steroid injected white facist.
