My husband saw this restaurant profiled on television and was intrigued. We went last night and it was excellent. We arrived early, around 6. The place is charming , sort of Italian cottage style. No problems with the wait staff. No one was pushy at atll. Food was pure, simple and delicious. We had a appetizer special of arugula, grilled calamari and fennel, served warm You could taste every flavor and I could have eaten this as my entree alone. I ordered the gnocchi special and my husband the lasagna bolognese. Both were excellent!\r
We are gnocchi snobs and I have to say they were light as can be. I don't think they needed the melted mozzarella on top though. Great as is. The lasagna was light and even though it says traditional...this is not like your mom's. The bolognese sauce makes it taste so much better. We finished off the meal with a creamy and light lemon tart with berries. We will definitely go back. Prices are inexpensive (around $10.00 for pasta entree's) and portions are generous.. Truly, a wonderful meal.
