Review content:
A friend told me about The Lobster Shop at Dash Point when I asked her about a place to go on ""date night"". It was a little hard to find but so worth the drive! We pulled up to a quaint waterfront house in a residential area adjacent to a small park and fishing pier. The inside is modestly decorated with historical pictures of the hundred year old house and its neighborhood. Although we didn't get a seat next to the window, our view of the Sound was really nice. The wine menu is extensive with at least one hundred bottles, mostly northwest or west coast wines. Our server was great at picking out a fantastic wine that went well with our dinners. I had the scallops. I order scallops whenever I can and these were the best I have ever had! They were wrapped in lox and pan seared until the lox was crispy and the scallops had almost a carmelized crust. My boyfriend had the filet mignon with sauteed mushrooms and lobster tail. I don't usually love beef but it was sooo tender and flavorful I might order the filet next time! The lobster was firm and perfectly sweet. On the way out I grabbed a togo menu so I could tell my friends about the great food. According to the menu there is a twilight hour with a four course meal for $17.99. My sister and I tried the twilight hour and it was such a treat. The courses are portioned so that its not a ton of food but it is a lot of it. I ordered the pan fried oysters and loved them. My sister enjoyed her oven baked ling cod. I have gone back a handfull of times and it is consistantly good. The one time I didn't make reservations there was a private party on the second floor and therefore a half hour wait . So we walked on the beach! Great service, Great food! Pros: great adult ambience, buisness or dates. Cons: summer parking is hard because of the park. Out of the way
