Sadly, I made the mistake of buying a sofa and a love seat from High Point and paid for delivery. I measured every doorway and hallway the pieces of furniture would have to go through as well as made notes of possible problems. I bought my furniture through Tony who asked for these measurements when I was in there the first time. I showed him what I had and he said the furniture would fit without any issues. I purchased my furniture and it was manufactured and 2.5 weeks later I got a call saying they were ready to deliver. I schedule my delivery for last Saturday. The delivery guys come and I'm greeted by one delivery driver standing in the road waiting for the other to pull around. The guy seemed to be upset the other guy was taking so long: ""God damn, I didn't know this f*cker would be taking a tour of the city, it's f*cking hot out here, where is he??"" Finally the truck pulls up and they bring in the love seat. This fits without an issue. Great, Tony was correct. Then comes the sofa. The guys bring it in and its obviously not going to fit the way they brought it in. They push and pull and ask me to take off the emergency light in the hallway to the apartment. I look at it, it's obvious this thing isn't coming off. So they decide to take off the door. At this point they ask me for tools. One of the guys takes out of the hinges and asks me to hold the door while the other guy is sitting on the stairs waiting for us to take the door off! The door is wide enough, but the way they brought the couch up left little room to move it in the hallway. They decide to pry it in as best as possible. Keep in mind, I was on the side of my place at this point because I was holding the door. When they finally get it in, there is a brand new hole in the hallway wall straight across from the door! I was told I could call the furniture company afterwards to get this worked out. I sign the paperwork which acknowledges the furniture was delivered and help the one guy put the door back on while the other sat on the stairs again. I call and ask for Tony who isn't in. I then speak to Mike who tells me it's too late, that I already have the furniture and there is nothing he can or will do about it. At this point, I have my landlord call, where he is told the same thing. They said I signed a waiver saying my house was not damaged (I signed a piece of paper acknowledging delivery). So if you want your house damaged, buy from these guys. If you want to waste your time trying to get the damage fixed, you'd be better off talking to a rock. These guys are skeezy. They offer cheap furniture because they offer zero customer service and are more then happy to sell you anything as long as it means more money in their pocket. You'd have better luck with the lazyboy next door.
