This used to be the biggest theater in the Raleigh area, and now is just another megaplex among many. It's older, and starting to show it just a bit, but the service is decent and the popcorn is great. It's appearance is your typical Carmike syle, which isn't bad but it's exactly like every other Carmike in the country. It's a nice neighborhood place for those who live close by, but I live on the other side of town and I don't think it's worth driving the distance to visit each time I see a movie. I used to come alot for their $3.50 matinees, but for some reason they stopped doing this and then denied that they ever did it. I don't mind going here every now and then, but I prefer the closer-by (and nicer) North Hills and the Raleigh Grande. Pros: Great Parking, Great Popcorn, Large Selection Cons: Crowded on weekends, a bit dirty, swamped with teens
