Review content:
When one enters this place, the first thing that one notices is a pay phone that has transparent packing tape all over it. Apparently, no one knows how to write, out of order. If youre in a group and claustrophobic, avoid this place. The people greeting were friendly, but thats the only thing positive thing about this place. I looked at the menu and was looking for something vegetarian. I noticed that there were some items, but did not find what I wanted. I wanted a dish of soy sauce noodles, which is a simple dish of noodles with imperial soy sauce, bean sprouts, and onions. I was not expecting the retort of the waiter who said that they make chow mein with vegetables. I ordered the vegetable chow mein and it was almost totally devoid of flavor. The only thing that was fresh in the dish was the broccoli. The presentation of it, and pretty much of everything I saw from what the other people in my group ordered, was unimaginative. The noodles were fairly greasy. The onions were cooked to the proper tenderness, but it was obvious that someone had kept the onions too long as they had an unpleasant sharp taste. The bean sprouts were not flavorful and I found myself using too much soy sauce in order to make my dish palatable. I tried a vegetarian egg roll and it was also barely palatable and required lots of soy sauce. The food was not even worthy of a strip mall. The service was insulting and rude, and it was obvious that they would rather serve people who were not Asian. I saw the same rude waiter pretty much sucking up to a table of all white persons, while he was dismissive to me and spoke to me as if I was a subordinate. From what I saw, this is merely a place where an uninspired cook decided to deep fry things and tried to pass them off as food. For this type of cooking, one can easily go to a county fair, buy an egg roll on a stick or a deep fried Twinkie and pay less.
Cons: Ambience, Parking, and service were all poor.
