Review content:
Steamboat can be divided into two businesses: the restaurant and the bar. As the former it has much to offer. The seafood is good - although nothing particularly stands out, it is a well rouded, typical, north shore menu - the restaurant is pleasant, and the staff is friendly. It can get very packed in the summer and, despite vallet parking, spaces can be hard to find this time of year. So far as the bar is concerned, it is less desirable. Although the appeal is the water (equipped with boat access to the bar) and, therefore, the summertime quality, this quickly yields to crowding, very over-priced alcohol ($6 beers and bad mixed drinks), and wanna-be yuppies against the backdrop of the GC landfill. Good for an early dinner, or a light brunch, however, stick to your local bar.
