I performed down the street at the Jazz Bakery and took a party of 10 in here last weekend. What a nice surprise. The service, prices, and pleasing bread were the first things that landed as positive. There are very few things over $15 on the menu - don't let those prices fool you. We all had pastas, and being Italian, I can say that they were cooked perfectly al dente and sauces were tasty but not overly oily or buttered. Just really good stuff all around. \r \r Service was accomodating and gracious - we were not treated any differently because we all wanted tap and no one ordered drinks. Water and bread service was fast, efficient and unobtrusive. At these prices and considering the decor (it's nicer that it could be), the only Italian restaurant in Los Angeles I could possibly compare it to would be Vivoli in West Hollywood, which is a hidden gem in a strip mall.\r \r Culver City is lucky to have Brunello, which I believe is a sister restaurant to a very high-end Italian spot in Beverly Hills. Highly recommended. Pros: Great prices, food, and service. They have it down! Cons: Not a tone of meat and fish on the menu, nothing too close by for nightlife.
