Review content:
This place has such potential that it is truly sad that it lives up to their bad reputation. The house is beautiful, the artwork is great, and the location could be perfect for an off-the-main-drag Indian restaurant. I read the bad reviews and thought, ""How could it be that bad?"" I went to see for myself and give it a try. I love Indian food. Indian food loves me. Unfortunately, Plainfield's failed to disprove any of their bad reviews. The service was slow (we waited 45 minutes at our reserved table before a waitstaff came by to inquire about drinks), the food was subpar (bland should not be an adjective to describe Indian food), and they were out of 2 of the 6 main entree dishes (how does an Indian restaurant run out of Tikka Misala?), and everything was overpriced ($26 for korma?). All in all, we were there for over 3 hours for dinner (and no dessert)! \r

My advice: listen to the bad reviews!! This restaurant is for people that don't know how good Indian food can be.
