I LOVED THE REVIEW FROM YUKONBOB. I GRADUATED FROM ACADEMY OF ANIMAL ARTS IN 2002. I AM BEING GENEROUS IN GIVING THE SCHOOL A TWO STAR RATING. TERRI WAS VERY DIFFICULT TO GET ALONG WITH. I FOUND HER TO BE AN EXCELLENT GROOMER, AND, THANK GOD, SHE WAS VERY NICE TO THE ANIMALS. THE STUDENTS, HOWEVER, WERE ANOTHER STORY - UNLESS YOU WERE A PET OF HERS. YOU NEVER KNEW WHAT MOOD YOU'D FIND HER IN AND SHE COULD BE VERY MEAN TO THE STUDENTS. I ALSO FELT SHE HAD SERIOUS TRUST ISSUES - THOUGHT EVERYONE WAS STEALING FROM HER, ETC. I DID NOT NOTICE COCKROACHES OR UNCLEANLINESS DURING MY EXPERIENCE. I DO KNOW THAT SHORTLY AFTER I GRADUATED, TWO OF THE STUDENTS LEFT THE SCHOOL PRIOR TO GRADUATING AS SHE MADE THEIR EXPERIENCE SO MISERABLE. AND FREE LABOR - ABSOLUTELY. SHE'D ASK STUDENTS TO BATHE OR ASSIST DURING HOURS THE SCHOOL WAS NOT IN SESSION - NO CREDIT FOR HOURS AND NO PAY, BUT SHE SAID, ""FOR EXTRA EXPERIENCE"". UNLESS YOU ARE EXTREMELY TOUGH SKINNED OR A BROWN NOSER, FIND SOME OTHER GROOMING SCHOOL TO ATTEND.
