Last November for her 30th birthday I treated my girlfriend to a wonderful dinner at Canlis in the Cache room. This is an incredibly romantic private room upstairs suitable for 2-4 people. It has a great view, complete privacy and even a chaise lounge in the corner. We brought our own romantic jazz CD to play. The food was delicious, the service impeccable and personal - the server even went down to our car to retrieve that CD which we forgot to bring in (they provide a player). They even created a special dessert not on the menu... featuring a sweet chocolate ""Happy Birthday"" message on the plate. We stayed super-late enjoying the view and privacy and although the whole staff went home by the time we left we were never rushed. Wine list is extensive. If you are looking for romance... you cannot beat the Cache Room at Canlis!!
