Businiess name:  John's Water Ice
Review by:  citysearch c.
Review content:
That's what one customer told me as, visiting for the first time, I considered which of John's 5 water ice flavors to get. There are 4 regular flavors - cherry, lemon, chocolate and pineapple, and one or two special flavors. Once that was banana. He was right about the pineapple - creamy, refreshing, and not at all the sickly sweet flavor I expected. My friend's cherry was very sweet and syrupy-tasting - some people like this, I guess. Banana was a nice mild creation with a few actual banana chunks in it. You can also get gelatis (water ice layered with soft serve) and soft pretzels. No seats at this walk-up...you stand on the street as you down your delicious cool concotion and get in in some prime people-watching. Very generous portions, too. Pros: Classic S. Philly, Delicious water ice, Inexpensive Cons: Bit hard to find, No seating, Few flavors
