The apartments themselves are dated in terms of features / fixtures. The shallow tubs are not really fit for a relaxing soak. Ok appliances. This place is noisy...you can hear your neighbors showering, closing doors, listening to music. The worst thing about this place is the security, or lack thereof. I've been here 8 months and in that time, someone tried to break into my apartment in the middle of the night. I was scared out of my wits and luckily the police arrived quickly. I've also been harassed for money from people walking though the adjacent arroyo, and my car was broken into. On top of that, another resident had their car stolen. Management doesn't seem to be invested in improving the situation. I've never once seen security anywhere around here although management states they contract with Vital Protective Services. Its terrible to be stuck in a lease at a place where you are afraid leave your car when you go out of town, or moreover, just not even feel safe while you are here. Pros: UNM employee & police employee discount Cons: not safe / secure
