If you are considering having veneers constructed for you, please take a moment and read my story. I had veneers put on approximately 7 years ago by my regular dentist in Cary. Unfortunately, because he had been my dentist for many years, I did not fully research the process or question his techniques. I had my dentist put the veneers on and I have to say I was unhappy with them from the beginning. They were too long, too white, too big for my mouth, and looked like one big mass of porcelain. I was self-conscious of them every day and learned to smile with my mouth closed as much as possible. I longed to have my old teeth back, especially after learning I was starting to develop decay underneath one of the veneers. \r \r After many years of hating my smile, I contacted Dr. Andrews to ask him if anything could be done to correct my situation. Dr. Andrews spent a tremendous amount of time talking with me and reassuring me that he could help me. He thoroughly explained his process of fitting, constructing, and delivering veneers. He explained that I would be involved in each step of the process, so that by the time the veneers were put on, I would already have a good idea of what the final result would look like. He also took photographs of my teeth and my face so we could discuss what I wanted and he also sent these pictures to his ceramist, so he would know my concerns. His ceramist, by the way, is excellent and makes the veneers look very realistic. I recently had my new veneers put on and I am so impressed with the results. I finally feel like myself again and wish so badly I had not waited so long to have my veneers redone. \r \r Yes, Dr. Andrews is more expensive, but believe me, it is worth it, and you truly get what you pay for. You can have veneers put on less expensively, but if they have to be redone in the future because they are ill-fitting, look extremely fake, or don’t fit your mouth and face, you’ll end up paying way more in the end. Please learn from my mistake and talk to Dr. Andrews before you decide about veneers. He and his staff are warm and welcoming and genuinely care about the patient’s satisfaction. \r Pros: Perfectionist, great staff
