Billyberg is overun by tendy yuppie lounge bars. The biker-type Sweetwater is now a hip cafe/breakfast joint. DUFF'S however sits by the water like a fort to everyone who ever knew downtown as it was in the days of the Scrap Bar.
I had heard of this place from friends. The first night I went the outdoor deck was packed, the grill was firing up free food. There was a band from Finland hanging out and Maiden was blasting indoors. I knew about the ornaments that hang all over the bar but I never thought it was THIS much stuff. From Giger posters to a mural of Wacky Packs. My Heinekin and shot of Yager were less than a Bud in the city. I warmed up to the gorgeous bartender and met the regulars who religiously drink here. At quarter to 4 AM the party was still in high gear...
Pros: loose women, jukebox, cheap drinks
Cons: one bathroom
