I attended my Florida required Concealed Weapons class at Tim’s. He was pretty knowledgeable; definitely felt like he had given the class before. I didn’t feel like I was the most important person in the room –as the customer I expect to feel that way. Returned a couple months later –with a mutual friend– to buy a pistol. I’m glad I gave him a second chance. Everyone in the place welcomed my $500+ purchase, were friendly and answered all my questions as this was my first-time gun purchase. Our dearly departed Mickey was a great –answered all of my questions and gave helpful suggestions. I agree with lovesponge, the range is poorly ventilated, but so is Shoot Straight. The range is monitored by cameral –a young man was messing around in there –Tim got right on him! I didn’t feel unsafe at all. Also –he charges by the half-hour ($6) –less then half what Shoot Straight charges for an hour. An hour is a lot of ammo. 30 minutes is all I need and they don’t charge me any more. Lastly, I paid less than $525 for my Gen3 G23 –New! That is –I don’t think it was used. LOL I may have gotten a better deal in Orange or Hillsborough County, but I’m from Mulberry –have no intention of crossing County Line to make such a purchase. I like spending money where I live, and Recker Highway is a nice ride, to and from.
