I recently had my Brazilian Keratin treatment done at the Park Avenue Hair Design.
After reading all the side effects of the treatment it was just hard walking in the door to get my frizzy hair taken out of my roots by a nice young lady.
She knew I was nervous about the treatment so she called the owner of the Salon to give me assurance that its completely safe and natural.
Not to mention that the end results will be completely frizz free straight hair.
The fumes were very strong as it contains formaldehyde( used to preserve bodies)
The young lady brought a little towel to cover my nose to block the fumes, no ventilation, no fans...
All hair blow dry and then used one straightener to make my hair shiny and pin straight. All done in 20 minutes.
Shelled out 250USD straight plus shampoo and conditioner 16USD each plus tax.
I was told not to touch my hair or get touched by any element of nature in any shape or form for 4 straight days.
After the fourth day with itchy and greasy hair, I couldn't wait to get in the shower and wash and feel like a human being again.
After drying the hair it looked like before, maybe little softer but still curly.
Spoke to the owner he said you should still blow dry and use the straighten iron to make it look straight.
What a waste of my money and time?
I wish the owner had mentioned earlier that it does nothing but take your expectation high and then you fall on your face so hard that it hurts.
I would not recommend this treatment to people atleast in this salon where owner misleaded and saved the important imformation.
Pros: nice decor
Cons: Misguiding customers!
