Businiess name:  Ron's Plumbing

Review content:
After describing my problem (supply line leaking at the meter) I asked for an estimate over the phone. I also asked whether the plumber would have everything he needed for the repair with him. Ron himself(?) told me the cost would be $125 to $150 and that yes, the plumber would have everything he needed to handle this repair. Well, the plumber did not have what he needed and made a parts run which took an hour. When he was done I was handed a bill for almost $700, including the hour-long parts run. The 2 parts, a brass connector and a plastic pipe, were $150 - about 10X the retail cost! When I called Ron to complain the next day he insinuated that I had mislead him about the complexity of the repair - he said he thought it was just a loose connection (I had told him there was a crack that I could feel, where water was coming out). When I reminded him that he said the plumber had everything he needed for the repair he replied ""well, he didn't"". No attempt to work with me, just argumentative and generally unconcerned that his $150 ""estimate"" was bumped up by 5 times and that his crew was charging customers for the time spent replenishing inventory!! I am reporting Ron's Plumbing to the BBB.
