To: ALL\r \r My primary goal is to offer fair warning to King Career’s next potential victim. King Career preys on people during what has been call the most stressful thing that can happen to a person short of a death in the family i.e. unemployment. \r \r King Career’s method is a classic bait and switch con. As any good conman would, King Career tries to cover their “switch” with a contract for less than what was originally presented to the “mark”. All the better if they have marketing material tied to the contract of course the mark never sees that material. The simple fact is the presentation or “hook” is designed to portray a much higher level service than the contract stipulates and the company is capable of delivering. Puffery is allowed when presenting one’s product, but, not to the level of actual misrepresentation.\r \r If I hire a builder to renovate my kitchen his opinion that the contract has been fulfilled is not a shield for shoddy workmanship, ineffective methods and poor execution. I hold King Career responsible for the same level of workmanship as I would any other tradesman.\r \r Examples of what I consider substandard work: (1) a list of recruiters that included telephone numbers that did not work and one company that had been sold three years prior. (2) I spoke to Jerry King himself about marketing to recruiters in the Greer to Anderson SC area which includes Greenville and Spartanburg SC. Jerry assured me that he would develop this list himself. I received a list of four (4) recruiters. I assure you that there are more than 4 recruiters in that area. It was at that time that I knew that King Career was a waste of time. (3) Jerry alluded to his inside tract and personal network that included the top 50 fastest growing companies in Charlotte and King Careers ability to market to same. After speaking with the Top 50 Companies there was no inside tract the material sent on my behalf from King Career was simply an unsolicited resume.\r \r In my opinion companies like King Career are shameful con artist taking advantage of people at a very vulnerable period. No better than the Funeral Home Director that sells an overpriced coffin to a grieving widow.\r \r Sincerely,\r \r \r King Career Victim\r Cons: Classic bait and switch con
