If you're looking for a pure bred or ""designer"" puppy go to google and search for local rescue groups. You wouldn't believe the number of these types of dogs that are turned into rescue, even to local shelters. Yes, even the little fru-fru dogs get turned into shelters.\r
\r
There are puppies and adult dogs waiting in rescue foster homes to be adopted. Dogs in shelters aren't so lucky. When their time runs out they get killed. \r
\r
Did you know when you adopt one of these type dogs (or any other for that matter) from a shelter or rescue group that the fee INCLUDES spay/neuter? Fees at a shelter are rarely above $100. Fees at a rescue can go up to $200 but remember, that includes spay/neuter and usually the pet is microchipped. \r
\r
Support a backyard breeder or adopt a rescue dog / shelter pet. The choice is yours. \r
