New to the area and have really been missing my favorite sushi place in my old town. Did a web search for sushi and came across MOJ. It is defiantly in a weird location, down from walmart but parking is easy enough. The atmosphere is unremarkable but it was clean and had more then enough seating, our party consisted of my husband, two year old grand baby and myself and was seated at a comfortable booth. Probably my only complaint is they do not have a childrens menu :( it would be nice to have tempura battered chicken and frys for the younger crowd, but we made do with some crackers from my purse and nibblings from the grown up plates. We stared off with the tempura vegetables and fried calamari, the veggies were very good even the sweet potatoe which I have never had that way, the calamari was not too my liking, the pieces were too large and very tough, I wont be ordering it again. We started off with a salad, it was very bland, pretty much just iceberg lettuce, it was very fresh though, with some sweetish mustard sauce that was not to our liking. The Miso soup however was delicious, very light flavor and not salty like some I have had before. Our main plates arrived, my husband ordered the spicey rolls, he enjoyed all of them, there was one that had a sort of salmon pate in the middle and the texture was a little weird but the taste again delicious. I had the sushi combo, tuna was excellent, the salmon was very fatty tasting and on the verge of being tough, the eel I cannot really comment on as I have found that I dont have the taste for it, however it was still eaten, if you dont try it you wont know if you dont like it ! My cali roll was fresh and delicious. No desert as we was stuffed, the other review was right when they said there was a ton of food. The service was very fast and they checked on us without being intruding. The only bad thing is if you want your rolls on soy papers ( pink soy is awesome ) you have to pay 1.00 extra per roll, the cost of both ingredients are very similar so I dont understand why the charge, there are many who do not like the traditional seaweed so maybe something to think about. I look forward to going back and trying something else from the menu, I have had worse sushi for more money, this place is very decent on price and on product and service and I am sure will become a favorite spot of mine in the future.
