I stopped by Firestone for a promotional oil change, and was not surprised when it came with a list of recommended, if not 'urgent"" repairs. The left front ball joint needed to be replaced ""right away"" and the front sway bar link was also badly in need of repair. I have a family mechanic (who being both honest and low priced is a precious commodity) back in Albany, so since I was headed in that direction, I called him to make an appointment to have these recommended repairs done. I was surprised when I went back to pick the car up from him to learn that there was nothing wrong with either part. Now this mechanic could have replaced both parts for me and made the money, but instead being an honest person he told me that the Firestone people LIED about needing work done on the car in order to scam me. Shameful. And this place is busy! There are a lot of people in there getting ripped off!
Pros: the customer service people were polite
Cons: they will lie to you in order to extort money from you. long wait times. no parking in their lot
