Review content:
User Rating: 1 out of 5 stars \r by Wendy 01/15/2011 \r I brought my wedding dress to Teresa in December 2010 only for a hem on a satin only bottom and adding a loop to make the top of my dress fit a bit tighter. Thats all. She is very nice and spent time to pin the hem up and explain to me what she was going to do. Then she told me I could pick it up on January 15, 2011...fine. Then she springs on me that the simple hem and loop would cost me between $300-$500 minimum!!!! But she would call me. I left the dress and called her the follwing Monday for an estimate (as my fiance and I felt that was an awful lot of money considering I spent $350 at Davids Bridal for it). She informed me that it would be at least $375!! I told her I would come and get the dress. Then she said she would do it for $200 cash...I agreed. Well I picked up the dress today and there were MANY mistakes. The hem was uneven.....the under skirt hung lower than the hem and the extra loop to make the top tighter prevented me from zipping the dress all the way up and caused a HUGE bulge which she said was no problem and that no one would notice. I think people will notice if the zipper of my dress is down an inch. She then rough cut the bottom underlayer skirt & told me I would have to leave the dress and that it would take her an hour at least to fix it & she would have to charge me even more money. I told her I would take the dress with the unhemed under skirt because no one will see it.\r The hem on the dress was fair at best! I could have sewn a better hem and she left NO extra fabric so I cannot even bring somewhere else to be repaired.\r I would not recommend anyone bringing a wedding gown to her. Shes a great salesperson and a very poor seamstress. Save yourself money and aggravation and get it done somewhere else. because she will nickel and dime you on every little thing. When all was said and done she actually told me that she gave me a fantastic deal and that the dress alterations would have cost upwards to $700 for a dress that has absolutely no lace, sequins or beading!!! RUN!!!\r
