Don't go here. Avoid this place like the plague. Even if you HAVE the plague! This clinic is the only walk-in one in the Alpena area, and they take full advantage of that fact. They act like they don't care--and they don't. They're unprofessional, the receptionists are rude, the nurses treat you like pieces of meat, and the doctors in the office are idiots. They don't remember you from one appointment to the next, they all say the same thing, they treat you like a number. I'll give you an example. I had been prescribed amoxicillin for a very serious bordering-on-pneumonia upper resperitory infection. I took it for five days, and it wasn't working. My husband, in the meantime, had gone into the walk-in with the same symptoms, got prescribed a more broad-spectrum antibiotic (z-pack) and was already getting better. When I called the office, still running a fever, still coughing, my voice nearly gone, and told them I needed a stronger antibiotic called in, they told me ""That doctor isn't in today, you'll have to wait until late tomorrow, or come into the walk-in clinic and see another doctor."" Really?! You want me to wait ANOTHER day, or pay for another appointment? When I asked them if they could call the doctor, she said no, AND THEN SHE HUNG UP ON ME. Not only that, I had billing issues with them time and again, and they're unresponsive. No one calls you back. I finally had to escalate the matter with my insurance company and the lab company to actually get them to respond. Unprofessional, uncaring. Don't go here. Avoid this place like the plague. Even if you HAVE the plague!
