Review content:
I was really hoping to make my experience of buying my First New Harley wounderful, but I was wrong. My fiance and I showed up at Pat Rogers Harley Davidson around 9:20 on a Saturday morning. As soon as we walked in we had a salesman right at our feet. We stated to him we wanted to see the new 2010 Street Glides, so he took us to the shop. They had just come in a few days earlier so they were not completely put together. I liked the looks of the new version, so I was ready to see what kind of deal they would give us. The salesman went and spoke with the Sales Manager (Andy) and come back to tell us Andy would be with us in a minute. The service we received up until we went into the Finance Managers office was good. My fiance and I were purchasing the bike together so we both were in the finance office together. The finance manager (Dave) seemed to be in a big hurry to get us done. Once the finance contract and all the paper work was done, he just put my contract on the desk in front of me. He looked in the cabinet for a folder or envelope to put the paperwork in but I guess there wasn't any. So I walked out with my paperwork in my hand. After this point we had to go back home to take the plate from my old bike to have it transfered to the new one. We live about an hour and fifteen minute away. By the time we got home, I received a call from Dave at 4:33 that my bike was ready to go. My fiance and I returned back to the dealership at 6:10. The sales manager took our tag and put it on my new harley. My bike had finger prints on every part that was on this motorcycle, there was still a plastic coating on the harley emblem on the gas tank. With the bike being Vivid Black it showed everything, which tells you the bike didn't even get washed. The sales manager opened up the owners manual and made about 2 statements and told us to watch the dvd on the abs brakes. We decided to pick up a new cover for the street glide, since they give you 10% off with the purchase of a bike. Which that was nice, but it just happened that the dealership was having a sale that weekend and was having a 17% sale on harley parts. We didn't get that! Know let me go back to the Finance Manager. I was reviewing my contract a couple of days after my purchase and saw that I was charged a 28.00 fee for a license plate. I called the dealership to confront this problem. I spoke with Dave ( finance), I stated to him that a tag in NC for a motorcycle was only 18.00, and fact that I transfered my plate from another bike should have only been 15.00. He stated to me that the dealership wasn't trying to make money off the plates for it was a set fee by the state. He also stated that he didn't enter that information in the system that it was automatically entered in through the program. So once I had him see the dealership was in the wrong, he said he would have a check cut to me for the difference of 13.00 for the overcharge. That was 7 days ago and I still have not received it yet! So if you have purchased a bike or plan on buying a motorcycle from Pat Rogers Harley Davidson check your tag fees. I really hate that I had a bad experience in the purchase of my Harley. I feel like by me spending over $20,000 in this dealership I would have received better service than I received.
Pros: I have a new 2010 Harley Street Glide
Cons: I was sold a bike and pushed out the door
