Great staff, very professional (: Stacey was my consultant, she's awesome, she did a great job reassuring me and helping me with getting some credit for my procedure (:
Front desk will call and email you before your appointments so you never forget. But then again, with this age of your phone being everything, there's no reason for you not to just put a note into your calendar.
My surgeon was Dr. Sobrino, he was very friendly, he was very real too; straight up, no beating around the bush (just how I like it). He had music playing too which helped me relax (not that I really needed help with the pain meds). He explained everything to me very clearly during my pre op appointment, then on the day of my procedure we went through everything again just to make sure I knew what was going on. He explained everything during the procedure too (ie. ""making the incision now... putting fluid now... ) and kept on asking me if I was okay, which was sweet because he doesn't have to take that extra step.
I was walking the day of the surgery (doing errands actually) and only took the prescribed pain meds the first night and second day... after that I was on ibuprofen. The pain wasn't bad at all. The procedure felt like a tattoo (I might have a high pain tolerance though). I'll put it this way, if you were the girl crying when she got her ears pierced... maybe this isn't for you. If you are a mother... hunnie, you got this. It'll be a walk in the park.
I just got back from my one week post op. Everything looks good, I'm still swollen, but feel awesome. No pain, just some tingling of my nerves ""reconnecting"". They put me into a compression garment after the surgery and I was told to keep it on for as long as possible for the first week, least during sleep time for the 2nd week and then after that it's my choice. I like wearing it though, makes me less swollen and actually helps with managing the awkward feeling of loose skin. My starting BMI was 23 so it's not like I needed 10 lbs removed or anything. So that probably had a lot to do with the pain factor as well. My best advice for anyone considering this is to exercise for as long as you can. The less fat you have to remove the cheaper the procedure is, and the less painful and long the recovery is.
I would definitely recommend Sono Bello for anyone and everyone that needs the extra boost that exercise can't give. The areas I had done were upper arms, inner and outer thighs, banana roll (back of thigh under butt) and knees. A lot I know, and I was just fine. (: I am very happy with everyone at Sono Bello and thank you Dr. Sobrino!! Can't wait to see you guys at my 3 month post op appointment!! (:
