Review content:
This has been a nightmare of a company. Every piece Chico has plated has had to go out for re-plate. Either due to deep grinding marks or copper plating that was too thick, which created soft surface for the chrome.
Chico is a nice guy who promises more then he can or could ever deliver. I brought about 15 items for chroming at a cost of about $1300. I got endless promises that it would be ready by this date only to get nothing after months of waiting. And what I did get was just plain ugly.
My rocker chrome were quoted at $700. After three months Chico learns that his tank can't produce the amperage to chrome these so he has to send them out. He has a guy who does his prep work and was going to roll them to take out all the nicks and dents. What nobody knew was these rockers have a radius and the guy used a flat roller which widened them about .375?. Chico sent them to the plater but he wouldn't do the work...I'm guessing because Chico wasn't quite telling him all the work he needed to do so he sent them back unplated, then I pick them up after THREE months and their not plated which given Chico's track record wasn't all that bad....except when we tried to put them back on the car, they wouldn't line up because now they are .375? wider and nothing is working. I now find out I have to send them out to have wood template made that has the correct radius so the panels can be fixed before they are plated.....thanks Chico
