I've been to Hunan many times and have taken relatives and friends from out of town and have always had a good meal and good overall experience. All dishes have been exceptionally tasty. We are talking hot and spicy with plenty of flavor. The dishes are basic old school Chinese. Nothing trendy, but solid execution. I recommend the sesame chicken chef's specialty as well as the sauteed green beans. The service is prompt and efficient and they know what they are doing. Rarely crowded but usually busy. One of my favorite restaurants in Portland.
