Stress is part of the problem that causes my back to lock up. I forgot an appointment the day after I was told that my uncle is dying and as I was making plans for our last visit, I was told that since I had had to reschedule once before, if I were to reschedule or forget again, I would be dropped as a patient (in addition to the $50 charge for today). I have 60 visits a year and have gone twice a week for the past 3 months (with little improvement). I was then told that I could have a different appointment and that it would all be ok, before being called back to say that that was not true. I was also billed the same amount on a previous visit when a student worked on me instead of a qualified therapist and was not informed of this in advance (which would have allowed me to change therapists or appointments, or would that have counted against me?). I will save myself the future stress and continue with chiropractic care and another physical therapist.
