Review content:
Soberguy that wasnt my experience with ocean hills. When I got to Dana Point i was a total loser, washed up junky from Huntington Beach. I weighed 110lbs, was 26 years old, and did'nt care about my family, myself, or anyone else.
My mom was scared and at the end of her rope with me. She actually told me to get out and never come back. I was dropped off at Ocean Hills in Dana Point by my mom and sister and was super angry that I was there. At first I the twelve steps and the Ocean Hills Recovery itself. I was angry at everyone and did'nt ever see my part in anything that happened in my life or the lives of my friends and family.
The Ocean Hills Recovery actually took time with me , they had been where I was and related to me. The head counselor would take me to lunch and listen to me talk about my problems and would give me good feedback and along with my house manager, other counselors, and my sponsor i was able to have a life changing awaking . I spent three months at Ocean Hills Recovery and thats what I needed. I the support Ocean Hills Recovery gave me. They took me to meetings everyday, I had counseling sessions and groups daily as well. I lived at the El Molino house and Bear Brand house and found no problems with any of their houses at all. They were always clean and the staff was always there to keep me accountable. They took me to a movie , bowling and the beach alot. I was able to learn how to be active in my recovery.
I now enjoy my life to its fullest. My mother and I have a great relationship now. I am active I run and surf alot, I started school again and am coming up on four years of sobriety. So I hate to see Ocean Hills Recovery have a bad review they did so much for me. all i can say is thank you so so much.
