Review content:
My fiancee took my mother's wedding dress to Hem & Her for altering. By the time the dress was half-way finished, she refused to go back, as she had been treated so rudely by the seamstress with whom she had been working. I went back to the store for her, to collect the dress and they refused to let me have it unless I paid the quoted price, despite the fact it was far from done. When I voiced my frustration (after paying the full price, mind you), the very nice assistant said she understood (as she had been at my fiancee's last fitting) and that I could come back later in the day to talk with the owner. Returning a few hours later, the man stopped me from speaking and immediately laid into my fiancee. She went back to the car, again in tears, and he then proceeded to accuse me of being unreasonable (remember, I had already paid full price), stating that they ""deal with people like [me] all the time."" I said that I was really unhappy that I had to pay full price for a half-finished job, and he said then talk to my lawyer, but I warn you I've taken people to court over buttons they have lost from our rentals. When I pointed out that I was neither raising MY voice, nor being rude to him, and only wanted to voice my discontent with the way my girlfriend was treated by the seamstress (who I later learned was his wife), he told me that he really didn't care, and that I would never have enough friends to tell about my experience to even put a dent in his business. So there you go... hope enough people read this posting. Oh yeah, he did finally take on a friendlier tone when another customer finally walked into the store. Pros: attractive building Cons: mean, combative owner
