Review content:
At first I was excited about moving to Sencord- the architecture's unique and it's price was reasonable, not to mention I LOVE downtown! I assumed that because its an Elderly community I could exhale a sigh of relief for the peace/quiet and safety. Unfortunately, my experience w/Sencord is mediocre to say the least. The walls are so thin you can hear all the ""goings on"" in the other apartments. After a few mos. living here I saw some unusual things, for example; I'd leave for work and return to find my home wasn't as I'd left it. I'd have my tv on a Christian music station to saturate the atmosphere, and come home and the tv would be off. I stopped for a bite to eat one evening w/my last $10 till Pay Day, and when I woke up the following morning the change I'd left on my kitchen counter somehow grew legs-it was gone!! There were other valuables that came up missing, like my fiancee's Nextel ($295), a bottle of Chanel CoCo Mademoiselle perfume ($200), and his satellite equipment ($500). I naturally assumed it was my imagination and/or negligence... but then it dawned on me. Very seldom do I ever forget or misplace ANYTHING! Both my office at work, and home is very organized-I'm careful to invest in our lives and run them like a business. So I'm aware of where EVERYthing is, and where EVERY dime of our money's being spent. Needless to say we decided to move forward w/purchasing a house, realizing that though the responsibiity is great, it will pay for itself. With apartments, unfortunately you get EXACTLY what you pay for! Strange that we NEVER had these issues of misfortunes w/the previous apartments we've stayed in. But the again, they were luxury apts. If you can tolerate the inconvenience of loud music past midnight, hearing neighbor's EVERY goings on, the lack of security, Sencord's the place for you! But if you're like my fiancee and I, whose taste far supercedes what Sencord offers, then these apartments will never be a place you feel comfortable calling HOME! Pros: Structure and design of the apartments are unique. Cons: Structure is cheaply made, Inadequate parking, & No security.
