Review content:
My wife had been wanting to try Cafe Bernardo for quite some time, and we finally went last night to give it a shot. The atmosphere inside the dining area and on the patio was really pretty cool, very fun. Unfortunately, when we got our food (cheeseburger and a Cesar salad), we were greatly disappointed. The burger was fair, although the bun was small and obviously store bought with no taste- just spongy. The meat was good, had a nice spice taste to it, which ultimately saved th burger from total failure. The Cesar salad, on the other hand, was not good. Store bought croutons with so-so lettuce drenched in a generic Cesar salad dressing, which when combined together, tasted a bit like fish. To top it off, my biggest pet peave was nailed right on the head as we were not given one refill on our sodas, and as a matter of a fact, we were never attended to after we were initially given our food. Really we were disappointed in having paid 24 bucks for an okay meal, with no refills given. A stomach ache at the end of the night confirmed our suspicion that we will not be returning to Cafe Bernardo. Pros: fun atmoshpere Cons: the food is too pricey for the quality of food and service
