WHAT A NIGHTMARE! I've lived in Manhattan for 10 years and have been in Washington Heights for two of them, always sending my laundry to be washed at Splash. I've shopped around, and there are much nicer laundry places in the area, all with staffs that are much more helpful. But, Splash is cheap and they deliver... I should have been more discriminating than that, however, because I recently had delivered to me what was supposed to be 40 dollars of worth of clean laundry for my boyfriend and I that iNSTEAD included a hoodie that was ruined with bleach and more than a handful of missing t-shirts. To be fair, we were compensated for the hoodie, but when we later discovered that items were missing, the owner called us liars and said that we were harassing him. CRAZY! I work in customer service, and this is just unacceptable. I didn't even want money for the missing items, just help returning the clothes or finding some other solution. I don't want new t-shirts; I want the ones that were never delivered to me. They were some of my favorite shirts, and some of you will understand how important a man's favorite shirt is to him! :( DO NOT TRUST THIS ESTABLISHMENT! The girl responsible for washing the clothing in question has been making out with boys during work hours. Hopefully, Splash will start making quality service a priority over providing a hook-up spot for staff.
