I got a Hungry Deck as a gift for last Christmas and this place was in it. The waitress actually has never seen a Hungary Deck card, so I guess either the Hungary Decks are not popular or people just don't go to these places. I've driven by it many times, but it was the $10 card that made us try it. I always thought that it would look cool inside, because I think I've seen some photos online as well, but as we entered I was disappointed. It looks run down and cheap. The clientele was also less fashionable as I expected. But all this wouldn't have mattered if the food had been any good. We ordered spring rolls, chicken wontons and Chinese chicken salad for appetizers. The first two were just OK and rather tasteless and were like any frozen appetizer that you can pick up at a convenience store. The Chinese chicken salad tasted very weird, almost unpleasant. It definitely didn't have anything to do with any Chinese chicken salads I've had in my life. The chicken was canned and the dressing was a bit overpoweringly salty and gingery. We ordered the Kung Pao Chicken as entree. You would think that a place that bears the name Kung Pao at least serves up the best Kung Pao dishes in town. Well, far from it. It was bad. It had no flavor other than the salty soy sauce. It was really not enjoyable at all. I wanted to have dessert (I know, what was I thinking, after all that?), but the waitress said that they didn't have desserts that night because they haven't received them yet (at 8 pm). Pardon me?? If I go out, I'd expect a restaurant to give me dishes that I can't make at home from my freezer in 5 minutes, let alone make it worse than I can in those 5 minutes. Service was not at all top notch. We never got one of our appetizers (we had to ask for it after they brought out the entree), but we got charged for it twice. Luckily, there are tons of good Chinese restaurants in LA, so we're not going to have to go back. Pros: Is there any?? Cons: read the review
