DO NOT GO HERE!!! We are military so I've been to a lot of dentists in many towns. Dr. Barth was hands down the worst, and by a lot. Her entire cleaning of my teeth took 2 minutes. They said it's because she used a ""cavitron"" which is an ultrasonic instrument that sprays high powered water to get the large pieces of plaque and tartar off. Several dental websites say this should be followed with hand scaling as the cavitron does not get small debris and can leave behind up to 50% of tartar, other websites say that it MUST be followed by hand scaling, and some even say this method alone is inadequate. Dr. Barth does not follow up with manual cleaning. Before I went in there were certain spots on my teeth that if I ate a lot of sugar or candy/soda I could feel the debris with my tongue. I could still feel it in some parts after the cleaning. I have always left with smooth teeth but not this time. I also mentioned jaw pain as I was leaning down on my chin frequently but only for a temporary amount of time. She said I needed a mouth guard I told her that wasn't necessary as I don't grind my teeth or have a clenching or lock jaw problem. At the end of the session she said she'd request approval for one from my insurance. I said no, not necessary, I do not need one. But she still did anyway. I know for a fact I'm not a grinder or need a mouth guard because I had to see a dentist to see if I needed one for job training before. Dr. Barth and her staff were rough, I was in pain the entire time, the hygienist popped her gum the entire time. This was by far the worst dental experience ever. Do not go here. -wikipedia, dentalfind, 1800dentists
