Review content:
I went to Vinnie's for the first time in years, and I enjoyed it. I especially like the atmosphere and the ""neighborhood"" feel. For the apetizer, we had Steamed Big thick oysters with cocktail sauce, horseradish, texas Pete, and Tobasco Sauce.
The Steak I had was an on the bone thick cut. It was cooked perfectly. Everything at Vinnies is ordered ""a la carte"", so it tends to become fairly expensive. But who wants a steak without a salad and baked or stuffed potatoe. The winelist is impressive, but there again, your credit card can get declined if you aren't careful.
Overall I would rate Vinnie's as one of the best steakhouses in Raleigh. Whether it stacks up with the Angus Barn and the like depends on the night, I suppose, but I think Vinnie's is probably a safe bet for a good meal and an entertaining evening.
Pros: Steaks, Location, Atmosphere
Cons: A La Carte, Price
