Review content:
Just had dinner at Maryann's and it was packed with people. They have far too many tables in the restaurant. I understand attempting to maximize the space, but it's ridiculous. We couldn't get up from our table without disturbing the couple dining next to us by asking them to get up to make space for our exit. The crazy part about the fact that it was crowded is the food was absolutely horrible. It was basically Mexican slop on a plate. I order the beef fajitas. The beef was completely overcooked and it was a tough cut of meat to begin with. It was like chewing on beef jerky. Surrounding the tough beef and peppers & onions on the plate was a sloppy pile of rice, beans, guacamole, melted cheese and lettuce. Just one big mountain of slop. Even the tortillas were terrible. They broke in half the second they were filled with the slop. I have NO idea why people go here. There are so many good Mexican restaurants within 10 blocks of Maryann's. I am completely bewildered. If you enjoy tough beef and slop, you will love this place. Pros: Free Chips & Salsa Cons: Tough, Overcooked Fajita Beef, Slope on a Plate, Overcrowded
