I visited Arrojo Studio today for the first time and really enjoyed my color with Kelly and cut with Nicole. Kelly and Nicole are both recent graduates of Nick Arrojo's famed education program - they are both so skilled, precise, and knowledgeable, that you'd think they've been in the business for years. That's what I love about this place - they care so much about the craft of doing hair and making people look and feel beautiful. Kelly gave me some beautiful, subtle, caramel highlights with a dark, rich brown base color. Nicole kept my length but really shaped the hair beautifully and gave it a fresh look. She cut some great bangs, too, which I'm really happy about because they have a versatile look that can be worn straight down or side-swept. I left a very happy camper with a bag of great Arrojo products. Will definitely be back again. My only gripe - ONLY gripe - is that even with the less expensive stylists, it was a bit pricey for me. I won't be able to get my hair done as often here, due to the price, but I think because my color and cut are so great, I'll be able to go longer between services.
Pros: The staff are warm, energetic, and professional.
Cons: A bit pricey - but not crazy as far as New York salons go.
