BEWARE!!! At first glance, these guys appear to be on the up and up and the apartments appear to be very affordable. I have lived in their apartments for over a year and have seen the good and the bad. I started out living in a two bedroom townhouse that required a $300 deposit and $485 per month. This was a so-so deal with the condition of the apartment. I had roommate problems and he moved so I requested a one bedroom. I moved to a one bedroom and expected to get a $100 refund from the first deposit, instead only getting $50. The other $50 was considered a cleaning fee which was bogus because they weren?t in that apartment 1 hour to ?clean?. I had that apartment spotless. The one bedroom was worse than my expectations. The air filter in the intake vent had not be changed it seemed in 10 years with ?? of thick dust stuck to the vent itself not to mention the air filter. The carpet was filthy from years of lack of cleaning with black spots all over it. The bathroom and kitchen had not been painted. This was apparent because of the nicotine that still ran down the walls especially in the bathroom. The air conditioner was broken half the summer and when they would come to ?fix it? it was broken the next day. When I moved, I left this apartment ten times cleaner than I had found it?Walls washed, nail holes patched and floors as clean as they could possibly be. After two months I finally got what they considered a refund of my deposit? $145. They said $55 was for ?cleaning and carpet.? What did I do, pay for new carpet? Over one year, I was swindled out of $105 by these crooks. Two other people, who moved out before I did, also had problems getting their refunds and unfortunately were screwed like me. IF you want to live in the slums of Richmond, go for it. If you want to be ripped-off by 3 crooks, go ahead and budget it because that is what you are facing if you move into a place like this. I DO NOT recommend. Pros: Cheaper apartments Cons: Terrible service
