Review content:
Last week I went to Sarah, one of the stylists/colorists at Sam Cole; she and her apprentice did a great job on my hair and spoiled me with a couple of drinks and a scalp massage. But, best of all, I didn't walk out with a scary green/gray tint on my highlights, or orange/brassy highlights! I've had nothing but compliments on my cut and color, which I haven't had in years. I've gone to ""color specialists"" and ""Color Experts"" all over the Triangle, as well as all over Europe...and this is the first time I've ended up with hair I really like. Yes, it was a little expensive, at least for me; but, since I don't have to go somewhere else to get the ""green"" or ""brassy orange"" highlights fixed, it turns out to be a good deal financially. If I were a stylist/colorist, I would probably be intimidated at the thought of taking a customer who told me more about what they ""didn't"" want (than what they did)..but Sarah rose to the challenge and exceeded all of my hopes and expectations. I'm definitely going back; I probably won't move away from Raleigh, as long as she's working there!
Pros: Great ambience, well-lit parking lot right in front of salon; friendly, competent care!
Cons: I didn't end up needing to be pre-medicated, after all!
