I've been dining at Ike Sushi for close to twenty years, and in that time I've enjoyed some amazing Japanese cuisine and good times thanks to Ike's attention to craft and customer. But of late I must say that I agree with the author of ""Rude Treatment"". Ike's hospitality seems forced and his fellow sushi chefs apply an unspoken pressure to keep ordering or call for the check. What used to be nice about the ""Ike"" experience was not only an excellent meal, but some time and space to enjoy it in. Perhaps I feel that loyality earns a certain pace, but instead it seems the old adage of ""time is money"" dictates the flow now. Too bad, because I used to put Ike up against anyone's favorite.
