Review content:
I'm a sushi devotee and have tried so many places around LA...but have stuck to a select few for years. Until I tried Ike, that is. I've been hearing about this place for years but never ventured over there to check it out. I'm sorry I waited so long. The quality of the fish here is incredible, the chefs and staff are really friendly and attentive, and it's just a low-key fun experience. The food and service are very traditional Japanese. Everyone knows each other and you can tell that most are regulars there. Ike is so sweet and did I mention that the fish is absolutely fresh and delicious? The best sushi & fish on the east side, hands down. I love Sushi Sasabune on Sawtelle too.
Pros: fresh delicious fish, friendly staff, low-key atmosphere
Cons: might have to wait
