Be AWARE! ADT will never ask you for your social security number (unless you are financing $1,000 or more through the Leasing Company of America). ADT ""Authorized Dealers"" do ask you for that information to process the application. ADT corporate does not need that for an alarm. As an ADT manager I do not favor the dealer program as I encounter many instances of incorrect information being transmitted and in turn angry customers. Dealers pay ADT to use their name to market their services. The monitoring and service is provided by corporate. A dealer may not always be there but corporate will be here forever to service the customer. Always ask if the sales rep is corporate or a dealer. All corporate employees have ADT badges and in many states have state issued security or public safety licenses. As for billing problems, if you do not have your issue resolved ask for a manager.
