My boyfriend and I were very disappointed with our meal at Rachel's. We both agreed that the food was subpar. Do not be deceived by the menu - it sounds good on paper only. Our salad (Chopped endive, arugula & radicchio topped with shaved parmesan in balsamic vinaigrette) was all right. Our appetizer (tortilla with mozzarella cheese and portobello) sounded good, but was in fact, very bland and tasteless. Both of our entrees, though very different (I had the veal and he had fish), were very salty. He ordered off the specials menu, which you assume is the best option. We've been to many tasty restaurants (of all levels/cuisines), and this was our worst meal ever.
Pros: Good service, cozy ambiance
Cons: The food just was not good.
