Review content:
well, i like to try new places, especially vietnamese food because my favorite place isn't very close to my house, so after reading the reviews on citysearch i decided to check out saigon pho. i'll keep it simple, i ordered spring rolls with shrimp and beef, and rice vermacelli with pork and shrimp, the spring rolls had iceberg lettuce, a few shrimp, and i didn't taste or see any beef, i really had to force them down to be honest, they also were not served with the traditional peanut sauce. the rice vermacelli was average i guess, the pieces of pork were big but not very tender or flavorful, the shrimp still had the tails on them which made the dish difficult to eat, and there weren't a lot of extras other than lettuce (there's usually some cucumbers or other vegetables). my biggest complaint was that some of the rice noodles were not fully cooked and i actually found a sizable portion of them that were still stuck together, yuck. also, one of my pork pieces still had a bone in it. last but not least, it took the server about 5 minutes to realize i was done and give me my check. fortunately it was only 10 bucks, but i will never be back, best pho in town is still on apache in tempe.
Pros: average price
Cons: below average food, below average service
