Review content:
I had heard about Theo's or read about it in the Binghamton paper. My husband and I now live about 50 minutes away from Binghamton and haven't have good barbeque in years since we have left TX. So I didn't expect much from this area since this is spedie country. What a pleasant surprise. Even though the facilities are small and basis, the food is not. They had a buffet set up which provided a wide range of meat dishes along with good sides. Their cornbread is to die for. It is thick and cake like and my husband who does not particularly like food with bones and sauces said for him it was well worth the trip just for the cornbread. It is so good that you could have eaten it as dessert. I am not sure of the owner's background, but the food taste like it is from a long family tradition. While we were there I noticed many people came in to take home pans of cornbread and platters with sides. I look forward to going back again.
