This place is aweful! Every step of the way they try getting more money from you. There are horror stories about the living conditions, and crime. I didn't think they were true until I lived there. I was warned that at first, management is sweet and tries to kiss your [you know what], until you sign; after which they drop you like a fly. I didn't want to believe it, but that is exactly what happened to me. I have heard other people have the same experience as me. After that when you come to them with any sort of problem, like rodents or other pests, they try to kiss it off, and they don't take you seriously. They sometimes pretent to take action that ""fixes"" the problem, but in the same breath describe it as something you'll have to live with. Other people in the complex have complained about the same problem. Their selling features are practically facades: their pool is never heated; their exercise room smeels like trash and BO, and never seems to get cleaned; their ""security"" is missing in action; the ... Other people in the complex have complained about the same problem. Their selling features are practically facades: their pool is never heated; their exercise room smeels like trash and BO, and never seems to get cleaned; their ""security"" is missing in action; the laundry room was lacking hot water for several months (about 8) and the door would lock you out, and the laundry drains spill onto the floor where have to walk; internet in ""common areas"" is usually not working; and the public toilets are clogged, etc... Their insect problem and rodent problem is out of control. Even if you have a dog or other animal present, rodents have still gotten into apartments by chewing wholes through the walls. The are is not good. There are always random strangers walking through the area. Some seem really sketchy. My place was broken into and some of my stuff was destroyed and some stolen. More damage would have been done had someone not intervened. Similar theft happened to my neighbor, in front of other witnesses! When they tell you what ""rent"" is, know they will add about $400 for basic things, like water, garbage, parking, sewage, electricity, their manditory renter's insurance, internet, etc.... It is about double the cost of utilities compared to other downtown Sacramento areas-(I'm guessing because they make tenants pay for all these public lights, and public water, etc...that they waste in their office and around the complex). It is a complete GIP off! I have read so many negative reviews and can completely relate to those writers' experiences. I have also read the positive ones, and they sound so vague and superficial, it sounds like something management would say.
